We were out of town on Friday and I couldn't get to my computer or an internet connection to post my quote but here I am and here's the quote for the week.
Enjoy!
"You speak of signs and wonders
but I need something other
I would believe if I was able
but I'm waiting on the
crumbs from your table."
~U2
Huh...I wonder how many times someone just wanted a hug or a coat or some food rather than my theology.

Interesting possible explanation for those lyrics (don't know if it's true):
I read in an interview that Bono wrote those lyrics after going to a large Christian gathering/festival. He came to speak about global relief and the Christian's unique calling to aid. He was not well received. "Wet blanket," I believe, was the term used. I told a friend of mine at work about the interview, and he said a guy he knew went to Cornerstone and Bono showed up and killed the mood talking about the trouble in the world. "We were really having a good time. Totally brought the whole thing down."
Like I said, don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised. My friend said he almost punched the guy.
